FAQS
What is a free 20 minute consultation?
Your free consultation is an opportunity for us to have a brief telephone conversation about your current situation, for you to ask any questions you may have and find out more about how I can help you. It is also an opportunity for us both to determine whether what I offer is appropriate for you.
How many sessions will I need?
I will always help you to move forward in your life at a pace that suits your needs. Some clients will need as few as 3-6 sessions, while others will want therapy over a longer time period. We will work together to suit your practical and therapeutic needs.
There is no commitment to a lengthy ‘course of treatment’.
You will decide after each session whether you want to book another.
Some clients enjoy the regularity of weekly sessions. Some come fortnightly while others choose the regularity that works for them.
What if I cancel my appointment?
If you have to cancel an appointment in advance, we will aim to re-schedule.
Cancellations within 48 hours of scheduled appointment will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur full costs.
What is the cost of therapy?
Sessions are usually 1 hour @ £80
Any longer or shorter sessions are pre-arranged on a pro-rata basis.
Walk and talk sessions are usually 90 minutes @ £120
I have never had therapy before – what should I expect?
People are often apprehensive about starting therapy as they feel it may be a painful, uncomfortable and lengthy process. It doesn’t have to be any of these things – it can often be a positive journey of self-discovery.
It might help to think of therapy as a conversation in which we will work together to use your resources and skillset to gain confidence in moving forward. During our sessions, we will find tools and techniques that help you to gain control and find balance in your life.
Can I be in touch with you between sessions?
It is possible to email or call between sessions and I will try to answer within 48 hours.
